"So, do you have a job?"

"No."

"What've you been doing?"

"Well this one time I made Sims of two of my characters and now they're getting married."

I'm having a mid-novel crisis.

My characters have no character.

I cannot write prose except for dialogue.

Have I unintentionally said something bigoted?

Or ignorant?

Or impossibly stupid?

Have I let too much of myself be seen in this?

The ending is too happy. One of my friends said it was cliched. Is it cliched? This thought haunts me at night. A lot. I can't write it any other way. This is the way it has to end otherwise there is no point. Is it cliched?

I am not smart enough to do this.

I keep having these horrible thoughts how if it's ever published (I get ahead of myself a lot) and people ask me questions about it I won't know what to say and I will just be standing there saying "I don't know" to everything and then everyone will think I'm an idiot.

... is still not finished. xD But I feel like doing some reminiscing, or whatever. IT'S THE NEW YEAR! etc etc. (It may be Feb, but you cannot deny that it is no longer 2010.)

March 26 last year, I posted on here that I'd finished the first chapter. And the post I wrote before that, I said I could have the first draft finished in a couple of months. Hahahahaha. Silly fewl. Well, as of right now, I've written 40,791 words. And I've done thirteen out of twenty-three chapters, so (oh wow, holy shit I didn't realise this until exactly this moment) it's over half-finished.

So I've been writing this for about a year. I don't know the exact date that I started the first chapter, but it was probably a couple of weeks before I posted the journal entry saying I'd finished.

I came up with the characters 30th of October, 2008 (I know this because I posted a really shitty story about them for some competition online), and I didn't do anything for a long time with them.

(On a side note which may be amusing, their names are the names of my two guitars: Simon and Fitzwilliam. xD)

And then I posted another really shitty story about them on the 12th of Feb, 2009. And then another on April 1st, the same year.

It was after the third story (which was about faeries. It was fun. xD) that I decided that I wanted to write something longer. And then I guess i just spent a really fucking long time thinking about it before I actually wrote it down. The plot changed a lot. And it still keeps changing because it won't sit still like a good child! Gosh.

It's kind of odd to think that I've spent so much time writing about the same characters. And that, after this is finished, I probably won't write about them ever again. -dramatic sigh-

Yeah, kind of pointless entry but I thought it might be at least slightly interesting. And it was a wonderful way to procrastinate from writing. xD

Why does it matter at all what someone looks like? Why should it matter what they weigh? What they wear?
